Altea is one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca with its steep winding, medieval cobbled streets leading up to the blue domed church and plaza.
You then enter the completely different world of Benidorm where you can sunbathe all day and party all night. There are also plenty of attractions for the whole family including Terra Mitica, a theme park, the water park Aqualandia and not to mention plenty of shops. The town is divided into two areas, the old town with its narrow old streets and the new town with the high rise hotels, nightclubs and discos.
The pretty village of Villajoyosa with its painted houses which has fortunately been overlooked by foreign tourists.

Alicante
is the capital of the region and offers a wealth of cultural activities and
fine beaches. It is shadowed by the Castillo de Santa Barbara situated
on the hill overlooking the city and is a great vantage point from which
to view the city and its harbour.
One of the most well known images of Alicante is the patterned esplanade running along the seafront. In the evenings you will find a range of market stalls and artists. It is also home to the main airport and most central for the Costa Blanca with almost all areas within an hour’s drive.
Elche is famous for being Spain’s footwear capital and is a major exporter. It is most famous for its palm forest which has been declared a World Heritage Site.
Guardamar is a picturesque town famous for its dunes and has over 12 kilometres of fine sandy beaches.
Torrevieja´s coastline is made up of fine sandy beaches and secluded coves. It is surrounded by two large beautiful natural salt water lagoons for which Torrevieja is famous. The lagoons create a healthy microclimate that has been recommended by medical specialists all over the world. There is also plenty to keep the family entertained with a water park, cinema, bowling alley, casino and plenty of shops.
The area boasts over 300 sunny days and only 30 days of rain in the year with an average temperature of 18ºc.
Further south along the coast are several smaller towns with commercial
centres and stretches of fine sandy beaches with beach bars and water sports.
There are also plenty of golf courses which all vary in design so there is
something to suit every handicap.
